LEGACY eager to host “We Can’t Weight To Stay Fit”

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – LEGACY Foundation will present its third annual “We Can’t Weight To Stay Fit” event October 21, 10 a.m. at the Gregg/Klice Community Center located at 1600 John Buck O’Neil Way in Kansas City’s historic 18th and Vine cultural and entertainment district.

There is no admission fee for this program. Individuals of all ages are encouraged to attend and receive pertinent information relating to health and wellness.

“You can never be too cautious in regard to your health. And when considering the currently unpredictable status of health care options, assuming a healthy lifestyle has taken on an increased level of importance,” said LEGACY Foundation President, Jonathan F. Smith. “Therefore, teaching families how to eat right and exercise properly are vital tools which can change, and save, lives. That’s why LEGACY is so adamant about the “We Can’t Weight To Stay Fit” event.”

The program includes a panel discussion featuring nutrition and fitness experts who will provide information on issues relating to wellness habits people – especially youth – should embrace. Following the forum, the fitness gurus will lead various 15 minute workout circuits, showcasing easy but effective exercises.

Each participating child and parent will receive a shirt, sports bag, water bottle, several health-related items, and wellness information.  WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!

LEGACY Foundation is a non-profit entity. LEGACY challenges residents of the Kansas City area to come together as a means to address issues which often hinder our youth. LEGACY promotes the idea that the children are our future. Thus, LEGACY encourages community leaders to guide, protect, and help the youth maximize their potential as they develop into productive citizens and great leaders of tomorrow. LEGACY is on a mission to crusade against youth violence, childhood obesity, and childhood illiteracy.
